Steamboat Springs Moving FAQs

How much does it cost to move within Steamboat Springs, Colorado?
Moving costs in Steamboat Springs depend on home size, distance, and access challenges. We provide free binding estimates with no hidden fees for stairs, long carries, or mountain road access — you'll know your exact cost upfront. Rural and ranch properties with unique access requirements are our specialty.
What's the best time of year to move in or out of Steamboat Springs?
Late April through mid-May (mud season) and October through mid-November offer the best rates. Avoid December-March when ski season creates HOA blackouts and Rabbit Ears Pass can be treacherous. Summer weekends fill up fast with Hot Air Balloon Rodeo, Art in the Park, and other festivals.
Can you move to Steamboat's ski-in/ski-out condos and base area properties?
Absolutely. We regularly move into One Steamboat Place, Trailhead Lodge, Steamboat Grand, and Wildhorse Meadows. Most require advance reservations, elevator padding, and certificates of insurance. We coordinate all logistics with building management and know every loading dock in the resort area.
How do you handle moves over Rabbit Ears Pass to Steamboat Springs?
Rabbit Ears Pass (US-40, 9,426 ft) is our primary route from Summit County. Our trucks have air-ride suspension, winter tires, and chains. We monitor CDOT closely and never risk your belongings in dangerous conditions. From Denver, we can also route through Craig if US-40 closes.
Do you move to ranches and rural properties in Routt County?
Yes, we handle ranch moves throughout Routt County including Strawberry Park, North Routt (Clark, Hahns Peak), Stagecoach, Oak Creek, and Hayden. Our equipment handles long gravel driveways, gates, and remote locations. We've moved hay barns, tack rooms, and entire ranch households.
What ZIP codes do you serve in the Steamboat Springs area?
We serve all Steamboat-area ZIPs: 80477 (Steamboat Springs), 80487 (Old Town), 80479 (Stagecoach/Oak Creek), 80428 (Clark), 80459 (Kremmling). We also cover Hayden, Craig, and Yampa in Routt and Moffat counties.

Fantastic customer service…Dominic and Tommy arrived early to facilitate a move from Breck to Highlands Ranch. They were very efficient and respectful. Far exceeded my expectations!

Guys had a positive attitude and really tried to make my day! I used this company before and they didn't try to nickel and dime me like other companies.

My crew was awesome! And Josh was so easy to work with. Answered questions day and night, very responsive, and was in communication throughout. The 2 guys who moved me did a great job navigating three small spaces. They worked really hard and quickly. Best of all, my price came in hundreds lower than the estimate. I would highly recommend them!

They were so polite and did a great job! We had a really difficult move (lots of stuff in 2 houses). These guys were great! They worked nonstop. We have moved A LOT and these were the best movers we've ever had.

I don't leave many reviews because I just get inundated with the request but majestic movers did a fantastic job. We are moving from a Beavercreek townhome to a Winter Park house. The team packed up the whole townhome and moved us into the Winter Park house. There was a team of three, they were so polite asked questions very respectful of the house, which I appreciated. We are a shoe free house and they accommodated that!! Things were so well packed, (I mean really well) everything came out in one piece. The movers were so helpful. A great bunch of guys that we are grateful to. I hope never to move again but would certainly use their services without thinking twice..

We had 2 moves in 2 days. Essentially downsizing and had to move things to Tabernash and Golden. Service was excellent. Young men were so polite. Timely. Excellent communication. I will use them again and I recommend them highly.
