Our Story
Majestic Mountain Movers was founded in 1994, born from a simple idea: mountain communities deserve a moving company that truly understands the unique challenges of high-altitude relocations.
For three decades, we've navigated steep driveways, tight mountain roads, and unpredictable weather to help thousands of families and businesses relocate throughout Colorado's high country. Our deep knowledge of Summit County and the surrounding mountain communities sets us apart.
In 2019, Ryan Shorter - a 2-time Olympic head coach for Malaysia - purchased Conroy Moving & Storage in Steamboat Springs. Ryan grew up working in his family's retail stores, running the shipping and receiving department, delivering furniture, and even installing totem poles. That hands-on background, combined with his dedication to excellence and team leadership from coaching, made the moving industry a natural fit. In 2021, Ryan acquired Majestic Mountain Movers, becoming the third owner and uniting two mountain moving experts under one company. Today, this makes Majestic the largest mountain-based moving company in Colorado.
