Leadville Moving FAQs

How much does it cost to move within Leadville, Colorado?
Moving costs in Leadville depend on home size, distance, and access challenges. We provide free binding estimates with no hidden fees for stairs, long carries, or mountain road access — you'll know your exact cost upfront. Historic properties may require extra care and specialized handling.
Are there special considerations for moving at Leadville's 10,152 ft altitude?
Yes, Leadville is the highest incorporated city in North America. Our crew is fully acclimated. We pace work carefully, hydrate constantly, and schedule appropriate breaks. Sealed containers and aerosol cans can expand at altitude — we handle them with care. Altitude doesn't affect our service quality.
Can you move to Leadville's historic Victorian district?
Absolutely. We're experienced with Leadville's beautiful Victorian homes along Harrison Avenue and the historic residential streets. These properties often have narrow doorways, steep staircases, and unique architectural features. We use furniture sliders, door protection, and careful technique to protect these treasures.
How do you handle moves to Turquoise Lake and Twin Lakes?
We serve all of Lake County including properties near Turquoise Lake (west of town) and Twin Lakes (south on Highway 82). These areas have seasonal access roads and some remote properties. We scout driveways in advance and use appropriate vehicles for narrow mountain roads.
What's the best time of year to move in or out of Leadville?
June through September offers the best weather, but that's also peak tourism and Leadville 100 ultramarathon season. May and October can have unpredictable snow on Fremont Pass. Winter moves are doable with our 4WD trucks, but we monitor pass conditions closely and may reschedule for safety.
What ZIP codes do you serve in the Leadville area?
We serve ZIP 80461 (Leadville and Lake County). We also cover 80449 (Fairplay), 80420 (Alma), and 80435 (Keystone/Montezuma). The entire Lake County and upper Arkansas River Valley is our service territory, accessed via Fremont Pass (Hwy 91) or Independence Pass (seasonal).

Fantastic customer service…Dominic and Tommy arrived early to facilitate a move from Breck to Highlands Ranch. They were very efficient and respectful. Far exceeded my expectations!

Guys had a positive attitude and really tried to make my day! I used this company before and they didn't try to nickel and dime me like other companies.

My crew was awesome! And Josh was so easy to work with. Answered questions day and night, very responsive, and was in communication throughout. The 2 guys who moved me did a great job navigating three small spaces. They worked really hard and quickly. Best of all, my price came in hundreds lower than the estimate. I would highly recommend them!

They were so polite and did a great job! We had a really difficult move (lots of stuff in 2 houses). These guys were great! They worked nonstop. We have moved A LOT and these were the best movers we've ever had.

I don't leave many reviews because I just get inundated with the request but majestic movers did a fantastic job. We are moving from a Beavercreek townhome to a Winter Park house. The team packed up the whole townhome and moved us into the Winter Park house. There was a team of three, they were so polite asked questions very respectful of the house, which I appreciated. We are a shoe free house and they accommodated that!! Things were so well packed, (I mean really well) everything came out in one piece. The movers were so helpful. A great bunch of guys that we are grateful to. I hope never to move again but would certainly use their services without thinking twice..

We had 2 moves in 2 days. Essentially downsizing and had to move things to Tabernash and Golden. Service was excellent. Young men were so polite. Timely. Excellent communication. I will use them again and I recommend them highly.
