How Far In Advance to Schedule a Move?

Here in the mountain moving business we have all manner of requests, from the move of an entire house to hoisting a couch up three stories…from the outside. We try and help in all circumstances. Sometimes people call months in advance, sometimes the day before they want to move.

Looking at all of our customers over the last six months about half of them call over three weeks in advance, half call one or two weeks prior to the move. So if you have to move two weeks from now and you contact us, you are in good company.

For your convenience, you can pick your time and date if you contact us more that two weeks in advance. And not to worry, we see a lot of changes in situation as the date approaches. It is better to start the conversation early and have a few changes as the date approaches than call with only a week to go. The reason for that is we get to know you and can plan the big things together so any changes are just date changes.

MOVING TIP: Schedule early even if there are potential changes so you are on the calendar early and get preference with your times and dates.
